We are committed to going deep in our relationship with God through prayer, worship, and study of the Word, and through our relationships with one another. Just as a tree with a deep root system is able to withstand the strong winds of adversity and seasons of drought, so too can the people of God who go deep in their spiritual walk “endure to the end” with joy through life’s trials and difficulties.
Bethany Church sprung from the radical commitment of its founders to live lives of surrender and simplicity so that the gospel could be taken around the world to all who had not heard. Today we maintain that commitment in lifestyle, generosity, and partnership to see the great commission completed in our generation through local and global missions outreach.
Living for the Age to Come
The “Day of the Lord” is coming soon when Jesus the Messiah will return to earth, establish His kingdom, and reward the righteous and punish the wicked. This conviction compels us to live differently, to “take up our cross” daily and live lives wholly abandoned to the purposes of God in our generation. We live as “pilgrims” and “strangers” in this world with our “hope fully set on the grace to be given when Jesus Christ is revealed” (1Peter 1:13)
