Dave began working in ministry at nineteen years of age, serving on a church planting team in Eastern Europe. He then relocated to Minneapolis where he worked with Bethany Urban Development in Minneapolis’ inner-city before joining Bethany Church staff in 2004. Dave is a graduate of Bethany Global University and Bethel University where he studied Inter-Cultural Studies and Business Management. Dave currently works as the Community Pastor at Bethany and serves on the Oversight, Finance, Storehouse, Preaching, and Pastoral Ministry Teams. He lives in Bloomington, MN with his wife Vicki and five children.
Doug Goodmundson
Oversight Team
Doug graduated from Saint Olaf College in 2008 with a degree in Economics. He worked in financial planning for a number of years before transitioning to Bethany International, where he serves as director of the mission office (BethanyGateways.org) overseeing finance, missionary fundraising, recruitment, onboarding, and operations. Doug was on the Oversight Team from 2015 – 2017 before taking some time off, and was invited back on in 2018. He has served on several ministry teams but presently gives most of his time to stewarding the Finance Ministry Team and helping lead the Storehouse Fund, our church initiative to raise financial support and care for the poor, refugee, orphan, and persecuted. He and Ashley have been married since 2007, and have three kids; Samuel, Maxwell, and Josephine.
Tim Freeman
Oversight Team
Tim and his wife Carol served for 15 years in the Philippines among the Ilokano people in church planting and leadership development. Bethany was their sending church when they went out in 1981 and they have been a part of the local congregation since returning from the mission field in 1996. Tim works at Bethany International as the Executive Vice President and coordinates Bethany’s mission partnerships in 70 countries.Tim joined the Church Oversight Team in April of 2017 and is the steward of the Missions Team. Tim earned his MA in Intercultural Leadership from Bethany Global University, Minnesota, U.S.A. and is a PhD candidate at Bethany International University in Singapore. Tim and Carol have five children and two grandchildren.
